After entering the work field I found the value and importance of increased involvement within the industry and fellow peers.

Certified Nursery Professionals-NCN

The Nebraska Certified Nurserymen program was established to promote the professionalism of individuals within our industry. A rigorous three part test, which covers plant identification, landscape, and the NCN manual, must be successfully completed. NCN testing takes place twice a year,  during the summer and the preceding the winter conference. Manuals may be purchased through the NNLA office (402) 761-2216 or by using the form on the web site.

To retain the NCN status, continuing education must be completed every year. Renewal notices are sent out in the fall. Continuing education includes attendance at the Nebraska NAA/NNLA Winter Conference, the Western Conference or the Mid Am Conference or the ANLA Convention or Management Clinic.

Next Test:    August 6 – 1:30 at the Carol Joy Holling Center (Before Eastern Field Day)
September 23 at Chadron State College (Before Western Field Day)
