Emerald Ash Borer – Informational Meetings

Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been found in Nebraska. Currently Cass, Dodge, Douglas,
Sarpy and Washington counties are under state and federal EAB quarantine. The Nebraska Department of Agriculture and USDA will hold meetings for industry members to learn more about the EAB quarantine, regulated articles and how to move regulated articles so they are in compliance with the quarantine. Articles which are regulated in this quarantine include any ash material, ash logs and lumber, hardwood mulch and firewood, ash nursery stock, and pallets.
Members of the green industry, including arborists, nursery stock distributors, saw mill operators, mulch producers and distributors, pallet manufacturers and firewood producers and dealers are potentially impacted by the EAB quarantine, and are encouraged to attend.
